Weather Policy

The Magical Castle Company has safety as our highest priority. Whilst we endeavour to fulfil every booking, occasionally, the weather is not on our side and we may not be able to set up as per the rules set out by the Health and Safety Executive. 

The Health and Safety Executive dictates that bouncy castles cannot be used outdoors in winds of greater than 24mph. Whilst we will use the MET office to predict high wind, we will always use our anemometer at the site of the castle to check the localised wind speed on the day as this can be very different at your location. We will also leave our anemometer with you to check routinely throughout the day in the event the wind speed changes during the hire period. 

Bouncy castles and soft play become extremely slippery and dangerous when wet. In the event of heavy rain it will not be suitable to set up outdoors.

The Magical Castle Company will monitor the weather forecast closely for outdoor bookings and if the forecast by 2pm the day before is not looking favourable we will offer the following options:

1. Transfer your booking to a new date, subject to availability. 

2. Move your booking to a suitable indoor venue. Unfortunately we cannot arrange this for you but we are happy to advise of venues we have previously hired in.

3. Cancel your booking with us and receive a full refund.
