Keeping you safe so that you can keep your guests safe! Here are some key things to make sure that your castle hire company has to ensure that the inflatables are kept up to a safe standard.
This European Standard BS EN 14960 applies to inflatable play equipment intended for use by children fourteen years and under both individually and collectively. This standard specifies safety requirements for inflatable play equipment for which the main activities are bouncing and sliding.
PIPA is an inspection scheme set up by the inflatable play industry to ensure that inflatable play equipment conforms to recognised safety standards. PIPA is short for the ‘Professional Inflatable Play Association’.
A new inflatable should have an 'initial test' to confirm it complies with BS EN 14960. Subsequently, the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) require that all work equipment, including inflatable play, must be inspected at suitable intervals. In the inflatable play industry this is deemed to be once a year.
We carry public liability cover which covers us against set up faults or faulty equipment etc.
However as per our terms and conditions we cannot be held liable for any injuries caused whilst the castle is in your care. You are the sole person responsible for the castle and it's use and therefore should anything happen, you are liable to a claim as the hirer.
