Terms and conditions

You, as the HIRER, are responsible whilst hiring any equipment to ensure that all possible steps are taken to avoid injury or damage. Please ensure that the following Safety Instructions and guides are followed. We strongly advise that you seek your own liability insurance if you are concerned about the cover this contract allows. Please ensure that the following safety instructions and guides are followed:

Bouncy Castles

  1. A responsible adult must closely supervise the bouncy castle at all times. If there is a slide on the castle then this also requires constant supervision by an additional adult.
  2. Our inflatables have a user height limit of 1.2 metres and a maximum capacity which can be found on the label of our Bouncy Castles, or you can ask the delivery driver upon arrival. Please ensure no-one over the height limit uses the equipment.
  3. No food, drinks or chewing gum to be allowed on or near the Bouncy Castle as these could be a choking hazard and can also cause damage to the unit. Alcohol or any other substance is forbidden whilst using or supervising the castle.
  4. Ensure users are clothed appropriately and that nothing can fall out of their pockets.
  5. It is essential to ensure that no-one with a history of back or neck problems is allowed on the Bouncy Castle and also any child who is feeling unwell.
  6. All footwear, glasses, jewellery, badges and any other sharp objects must be removed before using the Bouncy Castle.
  7. No pets, toys or sharp instruments to be allowed on or near the Bouncy Castle.
  8. No face paints, party poppers, streamers, silly string or ink based products to be used either on or near the Bouncy Castle as this can cause permanent staining.
  9. No smoking, bonfires or cooking equipment, including BBQs, near the Bouncy Castle.
  10. If the Bouncy Castle is collected in a dirty condition or damaged then the person hiring it will incur a cleaning and / or repairing charge
  11. Climbing, hanging or sitting on walls is DANGEROUS and under no circumstances should this be allowed.
  12. Make sure that the Bouncy Castle is not overcrowded, and limit numbers according to the age and size of children using it. Try to avoid large and small children from using it at the same time.
  13. Prevent Horseplay: Please ensure children are not pushing, colliding, fighting or behaving in a manner likely to injure or cause distress to others. Somersaults are strictly forbidden as these are very dangerous on this type of equipment.
  14. Do not allow anyone to bounce on the front safety step as a child could easily bounce off the inflatable and get hurt. The step is there to assist users in getting on or off!
  15. Do not allow anyone to be on the Bouncy Castle during inflation or deflation as this is dangerous.
  16. If the Bouncy Castle is not being used for any part of the day, please switch the blower off at the mains and, as above, please ensure all users are off the inflatable before the hirer does this.
  17. For safe operation the Bouncy Castle requires additional space around it to be completely clear as follows: 2 feet at the side walls of the castle, 6 feet at the back of the castle, 4 feet at the front and any slide openings. If on arrival, the space is not big enough for the castle and we are unable to setup, you will still be liable for the full cost of the booking.
  18. If the Bouncy Castle is fitted with a rain cover then this is sufficient should there be any small rain showers. However, if the Bouncy Castle does not have rain cover fitted, or in the event of extremely heavy rain the unit should be switched off at the mains and deflated immediately and then re-inflated only once the heavy rain subsides. Rain water, including bubbling (which is normal), should be dried off with a towel prior to re-using.
  19. In the event high winds (24mph or greater), the unit should be switched off at the mains and deflated immediately and then re-inflated only once the winds have subsided to below 24mph.
  20. We require access to a standard UK power socket. We do have 20m extension cables but please get in touch if a power supply will not be within this distance. No children should be allowed to be near the blower or the electrical socket it is plugged into at any time.
  21. No children should be allowed to be near the blower or the electrical socket it is plugged into at any time.
  22. In the event that the blower stops working and/or the inflatable starts to deflate, please ensure all users get off the inflatable immediately. If the blower has a safety reset button, try pressing this. Check the plugs and fuses and make sure the fan tube or deflation tube/zip has not come undone or something has not blown onto and is obstructing the fan. In the event that the blower overheats, or loses power, switch the blower off at the mains, then switch it back on again 1 or 2 minutes later, and it should restart. If you are unable to locate the source of the problem and cannot get the blower to work after restarting then please contact us immediately.
  23. The inflatable will be secured with metal stakes, rope and/or sand bags by The Magical Castle Company staff. Under no circumstances should these be removed or the Bouncy Castle be moved or adjusted in position at all.
  24. Please inspect the inflatable at regular intervals during use to ensure it remains fully secured at all times.
  25. We are insured with full public liability insurance against the failure of our hire equipment, any claim is subject to an excess which the hirer concerned would be liable for.

Soft Play

  1. A responsible adult must closely supervise the soft play at all times.
  2. The soft play has an age limit of 5 years old. Please ensure no one over this age uses the soft equipment.
  3. No food, drinks or chewing gum to be allowed on or near the soft play as they may be a choking hazard and can cause damage to the soft play.
  4. All shoes, glasses, jewellery and badges must be removed before using the soft play. Parents/guardians who enter the soft play area or walk over the padded floor tiles whilst supervising must remove their shoes. It is recommended for hygiene reasons that socks should be worn whilst using the soft play equipment.
  5. No face paints, party poppers, streamers, silly string or ink based products to be used either on or near the soft play as this can cause permanent staining.
  6. No pets, toys or sharp instruments to be allowed on or near the soft play.
  7. No smoking, bonfires or cooking equipment, including BBQs, near the soft play.
  8. Make sure that the soft play is not overcrowded, and limit numbers according to the age and size of children using it. Try to avoid large and small children from using it at the same time.
  9. Please ensure children are not pushing, colliding, fighting or behaving in a manner likely to injure or cause distress to others.
  10. Ensure that an area of 3 feet (1 metre) around the unit is completely clear at all times.
  11. We ask that all ball pit balls are collected and returned to the ball pit or bag prior to collection - an extra charge of £10 will be applied if we need to collect up all the balls.

Bubble Dome

  1. A responsible adult must closely supervise the Bubble Dome at all times either at the entrance of the tunnel, or inside the tunnel to assist children with the zips ensuring that only one door is open at one time.
  2. The Bubble Dome can be used by adults and children, and has a maximum capacity of 5 people at once.
  3. The Bubble Dome should not be completely zipped up both on the internal door and external door at any time as this leads to pressure build up. Always leave a small section of the zips open at all times.
  4. When entering and exiting the Bubble Dome please do so opening one zip / door at a time to maintain its shape and prevent it deflating with people inside.
  5. No food, drinks or chewing gum to be allowed to be consumed in the Bubble Dome.
  6. All footwear, glasses, jewellery, badges and any other sharp objects must be removed before using the Bubble Dome.
  7. No pets, toys or sharp instruments to be allowed in or near the Bubble Dome.

  9. No smoking, bonfires or cooking equipment, including BBQs, near the Bubble Dome.
  10. If the Bubble Dome is collected in a dirty condition or damaged then the person hiring it will incur a cleaning and / or repair charge.
  11. Strictly NO BLOCKING of the inflation tube in the dome by either standing directly in front of it, or trying to insert balloons into it.
  12. Prevent Horseplay: Please ensure children are not pushing, colliding, fighting or behaving in a manner likely to injure or cause distress to others.
  13. Strictly no climbing up / leaning on the sides of the Bubble Dome.
  14. Do not allow anyone to be in the Bubble Dome during inflation or deflation as this is dangerous.
  15. If the Bubble Dome is not being used for any part of the day, please switch the blower off at the mains and please ensure all users are out of the Bubble Dome before the hirer does this.
  16. For safe operation the Bubble Dome requires a clear space of 7.5m x 5.5m floor space, and 4.5m in height. If on arrival, the space is not big enough for the castle and we are unable to setup, you will still be liable for the full cost of the booking.
  17. In the event high winds (24mph or greater), the unit should be switched off at the mains and deflated immediately and then re-inflated only once the winds have subsided to below 24mph.
